In the East end, a popular spot for locals in the summer. Sandy beaches and trees, lots of parking available. Check for seasonal hours.

Commissioner’s Park

A main location for the Ottawa Tulip Festival, visit in the Spring to catch the tulips – note that it gets very busy so best to go in off-peak hours to avoid crowds.

lots of buildings, walkways, some natural areas and access to the canal path and water views.
Rockcliffe Pavilion & Park -has a covered pavilion and a good back up location for rain, note that wedding ceremonies take place there on weekends and permits are required for ceremonies
Rockcliffe Rockeries – Wooded areas and interesting sculptures
Vincent Massey Park – Wooded area, lots of green space and busy on weekends
Billings Estate – Historic estate with a 19th-century home, and small garden in the back

Unique architecture, art sculptures, great concrete steps, beautiful blooming trees in the spring.

The NAC

The NAC is open to the public, so many spaces may be used unless there are private events held that day, access will be limited to guests of the event and event holders only. There is underground parking at the NAC. The NAC also features a rooftop garden, sculptures, a terrace that overlooks the Chateau and Canal. Access to the rooftop is available from outside the NAC from Elgin street.
